May 17, 2008 - One Year!
Jim & Them celebrated their first anniversary lastnight with one of their best shows ever. Between Jim & Them and We Hit & Run- Real Kid Radio accounted for eight hours of the world's broadcasting time yesterday.
April 10, 2008 - "The Return."
We've added a new mixer and microphone to the studio, with a headphone amplifier in the mail. Next up: SCISSOR BOOM STANDS. Then hopefully a paintjob and a banner.
Lastnight's We Hit & Run was the best time we've had since going live. With the studio changes, the show format switch, and the Sid debacle- I think the show has suffered a bit since Bullfaggot. You can expect spurts like that when you do 1-2 shows a week. I'd definitly call lastnight a 'return' of sorts.
April 2, 2008 - "The New Technology."
The STUDIOCAM is up, active, fully functional! Jim and Casey went out and picked up a very expensive Web-Cam to handle all video duties. Now we're just waiting on the new mixer, phone hybrid, headphone amplifier, and microphone we ordered. Tonight we will waterboard!
March 29, 2008 - "The Shitty Station."
I received my check from KLAV today... and they put the wrong last name ("Scampolini?"). Can that shitty station get anything right?
March 28, 2008 - "The Studio."
It's been an eventful month since 'breaking away' from KLAV. We all sat down
and discussed the future of the shows, deciding to broadcast and market the
brand ourselves. We've completely revamped the studio once again, adding two
tables, a webcam, and a new set of chairs. It's much easier to make these
advances when all of the expenses are divided between the six of us.
We hope to have the webcam up and running for Jim & Them tonight. We've also
been promising open phone lines for a couple of weeks now- the only thing
holding that back is KLAV, and their sense of leisure urgency in returning our
$deposit$. With that check comes not only the phone lines, but a new mixer and
headphone amplifier, along with another new microphone to round out the set.
The studio looks great right now, though the tables Brian supplied us are
completely and utterly awful. The red tabe-cloth supplied by Casey makes them
useable for now. I guess we can call these the CB tables until we find the
permanent solution.
Anyway, tell your friends, Real Kid Radio is now completely independent and
ready to advance ourselves to the next level. Thanks for listening!
